Dr. Daniel and Rev. Johanny Lee Rodriguez, a couple who have been married for thirty-seven years and dated for thirty-nine years, have a unique story. They have three adult children who are married and two grandchildren. Their close to forty-year journey in ministry has been intertwined with their family life, a testament to their commitment to both. This unique blend of personal and professional life has made them sought-after mentors in ministry, guiding many successful pastors, ministers, and churches toward family and ministry success. 
Rev. Johanny Lee Rodriguez is a licensed cosmetologist. She also completed three years of theology at the Church of God Hispanic Bible Institute. Johanny focuses on empowering women in the Word of God, emphasizing their role as mothers, wives, sisters, and women of God with the full authority to minister and play a distinguished role in the family, church, and society. As an Ordained Minister in the Church of God Cleveland, TN, she emphasizes the importance of beauty inside and out with a recognizable prominence on spirituality. 
Dr. Daniel Rodriguez's academic journey is a testament to his dedication and thirst for knowledge. He has a broad understanding of the field and has seven academic degrees in theology, psychology, pastoral studies, ministry, and apologetics. His commitment to education is further demonstrated by his ongoing pursuit of knowledge, currently working towards a PhD with an emphasis in Old Testament, New Testament, and Biblical Theology. Every year, he brings a meaningful and relevant seminar, "Defending the Faith," which is focused on Apologetics (Defense of the Christian Faith), expounding on relevant contemporary themes affecting Christianity. 
Daniel has also been a Community Service Chaplain with the Church of God Chaplain Commission since 1997. He is also an International Instructor/Educator certified to teach all three levels of Community Chaplaincy. He has taken courses and is certified as a Police Chaplain, Disaster Relief Chaplain with FEMA, and in Resiliency. He is currently finishing his CPE courses to become a Board-Certified Chaplain. 
All three adult children and their respective spouses attend, serve, and minister at Rise Up Church alongside Daniel and Johanny.
